Lynn Perish

Lynn Joseph Perish, 53, of Ketchikan, Alaska passed away on January 11, 2012 at the CentraCare Health System in Long Prairie.
Lynn was born on February 15, 1958 in Brainerd, to George and Irene (Moller) Perish. Lynn attended Clarissa Public School and graduated in 1976. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany for two years and then at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. He was honorably discharged in 1980 and moved back to Clarissa.
Lynn had many occupations throughout his life, but was mainly a heavy equipment mechanic and for the last six years drove a taxi cab. He spent the majority of his life in Alaska and enjoyed motorcycle riding, hunting and fishing. Lynn was a member of the American Legion in Ely.
Lynn is survived by his daughters Emily (Craig Seliskar) Perish of Ely, Molly (Joshua Altenburg) Perish of St. James; granddaughter Ella Lynn Perish of Ely; mother Irene Kotula of Clarissa; sister Valerie (Vern) Petersen of Foley; brothers Lydell (Denise Miller) Perish of Eagle River, Alaska, Lorne (Vicki) Perish of Clarissa; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father George Perish; step-father Mel Kotula and many aunts and uncles.

 

Eldon Maland


Funeral services for Eldon James Maland, 72, of rural Eagle Bend, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Eagle Bend with Pastor Melissa Ehrhardt presiding. Eldon passed away at his home on Friday, January 13, 2012. Friends may call at the Faith Lutheran Church in Eagle Bend on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
