Lorraine Dalton
Funeral services for Lorraine Janet Dalton, 75, of Centralia, Illinois will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, at the Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia, with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating. Lorraine passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Centralia Manor.
Lorraine was born on August 6, 1936 in Eagle Bend, the daughter of William and Olga Jetty (Stork) Crider. She married Raymond Earl Dalton on December 30, 1959 in Minneapolis.
Mrs. Dalton had been a school teacher in the Vandalia City Schools. She was a member of the Salem Christian Fellowship Church. She graduated in 1958 from Greenville College with a BS Degree in Education. Her hobbies included gardening, baking and basketball.
Lorraine is survived by three sons, Joseph (Joell) Dalton of New York, New York, Thomas (Michelle) Dalton of Normal, Illinois and Mark Dalton of Centralia, Illinois; daughter Karen (Jeff) Dalton-Beninato of New Orleans, Louisiana; brothers Darryl (Arlene) Crider of Minneapolis and Don (Caroline) Crider of Big Bear, California; grandchildren Hannah, Zane and Harley Dalton; and also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on May 11, 2007; her parents; and a sister Lois Buckentine.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to the Audubon Society, or Passages Hospice and will be accepted at the Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia, who is in charge of arrangements. |
